Indy on My Mind

October 15, 2016

Hey there! Happy Weekend!

So I packed my bags for a road trip and decided to spend a day exploring downtown Indianapolis. I was not disappointed.

It is a really fun town and has everything you want in a big city without being overwhelming.  I decided to spend most of the day walking and taking in everything this city has to offer.

I started off at monument circle which features a beautiful war memorial honoring Indiana Veterans of several different wars.

This is a must visit site if you ever have the chance to visit Indianapolis as the area around the monument is beautiful, alive and welcoming.

We then ventured over to the state capitol area which is full of beautiful architecture and history.

I did get the chance to get my feet wet by soaking it in this cool fountain in front of Indiana state house. So much fun! I only had a day to enjoy this place and I’ll take as much fun as I can. Life is short!

I wish I could stay longer in this vibrant, full of energy and wonderful city . But like any other visit I have to cut it short and get back to reality. Let me leave you with this quote

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” – Anonymous
